Etymology

My buddy turned me on to this seed. He was particularly proud of the cave at 12.72.133 that he found (as well he should be). "meh" is the word "me" with an accent; it is also the sound that a Minecraft sheep makes.

My Review

While the mountains in the southwest hold a few interesting formations, the primary reason you want to play this map are the caves. I was able to find multiple caves in this world that plummet down to the depths, including one that reached Y=12. Pitfalls abound, so watch your step. In the northwest, there are two islands connected by a rail-thin isthmus that, in my opinion, offer a challenge to advanced players if you're willing to swim there. As for the rest of the board, this is a fantastic seed for just about anyone.

Items of Interest

  • [64.74.-1] small cave complex
  • [12.72.133] deep cave heading down to Y=12 full of gold and iron
  • [-3.73.183] medium land bridge
  • [-231.72.367] large land bridge
  • [-283.74.144] deep hidden cave
  • [-132.66.117] small clay and sugar
  • [-82.65.48] lava pit
  • [351.72.-364] deep pitfall cave

Images

This is the best shot I could produce of the really cool land bridge at -231.72.367. This thing is surrounded by trees and is elevated which cause additional problems. But I think you can get the picture. It's big and it's shaded. At right, this is the cave entrance that started this whole thing. You're looking for a single tree in front of a single cave alone on a hilly plain at the exact coordinates 12.72.133.
